Inner Beauty…Outer Glow

I am a self taught jewelry designer and my pieces include bead work and metalsmithing techniques.  I am inspired by one of nature’s most beautiful creations: stones and gems, which are the focal point of my work.  As a child, I would spend my entire recess combing the field of crushed stone for little glints of light, “fools gold” (aka pyrite).  This love evolved as I would collect interesting stones on my hikes, shaped like hearts or with continuous ribbons running through them (wishing rocks). My “rock” collection in my adult life has moved to gems and minerals. I carefully handpick each gemstone used in my pieces and work to form relationships with lapidary artists that prioritize sustainability.

Before pursuing metalsmithing, I was trained in the field of health as a physical therapist. Helping people to develop a sense of wellbeing naturally translated into my creations at Clover B.  While physical therapy and jewelry design may seem different, the idea of self care is a cornerstone in both. As a physical therapist, I focused on measures like flexibility and posture, and as a jewelry designer I look to self expression and valuing oneself. Undeniably, I noticed that as people integrated any of these things, an outer glow would develop. In a nutshell, we can all benefit from self love and showing our best selves!

If you love hand tooled, one of a kind quality jewelry that highlights natural stones, join me so that my jewelry can be a part of your unique story. I want to celebrate you!

The Origins Of “Clover B”

Many people ask how the name Clover B came about.  It represents my ties to New England as well as my interest in environmental responsibility.   Growing up in coastal Massachusetts, the naturally occurring clover plant was a common sight, as was the continuous whirring of the honeybee around its flowers.   I was drawn to the wild nature of the plant and it’s fuscia blooms that attracted the bees. Over the past years I started to become aware of the plight of the bee population.   I believe the choices we make today can have a ripple effect on the future of our planet. I donate a portion of my profits to organizations that are doing important work for our environment.  I strive to be informed, make a difference, and use my creativity to make meaningful connections. What values are important to you? What gifts do you want to share with the world?

b true. b you.

Xo, Rachel of Clover B
